Green Anole

Anolis carolinensis

Green Anoles are common in my area during the summer and are a lot of fun to watch.

I spotted this bright green male curled up on a porch railing as I walked through my neighborhood and I snapped these quick photographs.

I like their bright green color, their long, grippy toes, the pale blue around their eyes, and their incredibly long, slim tails.

More importantly at times, I also appreciate the fact that Green Anoles eat cockroaches.

Any animal that eats cockroaches is A-OK in my book.
