Rabid Wolf Spider
Rabidosa rabida
Rabid Wolf spiders are large, fast, and bold—but they’re not rabid, nor do they carry the rabies virus.
Which is a very good thing as they are very common in my area. Rabid Wolf spiders aren’t the biggest wolf spider around, but they’re big enough to catch my eye whenever I see one. And since they hunt by day and run down their prey, I see them often.
